Patriot Mobile Supports The Chosen

Last week, Patriot Mobile, together with Mercury One, hosted a fundraiser for the TV series, The Chosen.

Created and directed by Christian filmmaker Dallas Jenkins, The Chosen is the first-ever multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus. Produced outside of the Hollywood system, The Chosen allows viewers to see Jesus through the eyes of those who knew Him.

The series first made headlines when the first season became the number one highest crowd-funded media project of all time. Since then, the influence and popularity of The Chosen has only grown.

Patriot Mobile loves the impact The Chosen is having on bringing millions to Christ. Last week, we were blessed to have had the opportunity to positively impact this movement by hosting and participating in a fundraiser for the construction of The Chosen’s new Sound Stage Complex and the town of 1st Century Capernaum in Midlothian, TX.

What an incredible God-ordained day we shared at The Chosen construction site! He truly works in mysterious ways, bringing together an incredible group of people whose focus is to help spread His word.

We started the day off at Mercury One’s American Journey Experience (AJE), where historian David Barton shared about the Godly heritage of America’s founding. We viewed historical artifacts from key moments in American history from AJE’s collection.

The bus then took us south to The Chosen film set in Midlothian, Texas. We were honored to spend the day with The Chosen crew touring the incredible space, which sits on 700 acres of pastureland. They gave us a first-hand look at their multi-million-dollar project: the construction of the Sound Stage Complex. The expansive sound stage structures are uniquely designed for motion picture and television filming, with 23,000 square feet of production space.

Adjacent to the Sound Stage Complex, the team is building a replica of the first century village of Capernaum. The Chosen team also hopes the set can provide new and exciting ways for the underprivileged children that attend the adjacent camp managed by the Salvation Army to experience the Gospel.

These new structures will be used to film future seasons of The Chosen and other related projects. But the vision is much bigger: Dallas Jenkins and his team plan to open up the space to be used for other Christian film projects outside of The Chosen.

Dallas and Amanda Jenkins graciously took time out of their busy schedule to join us in prayer and share their heart behind The Chosen. “It is not our job to do the miracle,” Dallas reminded us, “only to bring the loaves and fishes.”

That day, we heard many stories from the construction crew to the executive team of God’s providential hand moving at every step. Each member of the crew gave their personal testimony of how God brought them onto the team. There were no coincidences but rather their listening to God’s greater calling for them. The result? Millions of people around the world experiencing the authentic Jesus.

“We all have an important purpose to help spread His word and what better means of doing that than to support The Chosen which is bringing millions of people to Christ,” Patriot Mobile President, Glenn Story, explained. “Let’s pray that the Kingdom of God rises to the opportunity of authentically loving others and creating a cultural change by increasing the respect and personal relevancy of Christ.”

Indeed, The Chosen team is creating much more than entertainment. The series is reaching skeptics with the Gospel message, who would otherwise not be ministered to by other means. Through various future initiatives, partnerships with local churches, and a mobile application, the plan is to help a billion people experience the authentic Jesus!

Patriot Mobile is incredibly honored to support the work of The Chosen. Thank you to Dallas Jenkins and the whole Chosen crew for allowing Patriot Mobile and Mercury One to partner with you in bringing the Gospel to multitudes across the globe. Keep providing the loaves and fishes. We are here to support your efforts!
